7 years ago, Candy Spelling and her husband, famous TV producer Aaron Spelling (who died in 2006), bought an 8,000-square-foot beach house in Malibu, California. Now, the Wall Street Journal reports that she’s putting it up for sale at an asking price of $23 million.

The property, to which the Spellings added an adjacent lot to back in the 90s, is being sold because Spelling says she’s “not a sun lover like I used to be,” and the house is rarely used by her or anyone in her family. But someone who is a sun lover would be lucky to own this traditionally-styled beach house, occupying 81 feet of Pacific coast on Malibu’s La Costa Beach, and with seven bedrooms, a great room, and a designated media room. Two of those bedrooms are master suites, one of which comes complete with a fireplace, kitchenette, lounge area, and built-in bookshelves. Here’s how the home’s official listing describes it:

“Two-story entry with ocean views. Living/dining great room with FP, limestone floors, windows & doors to full-width ocean-view deck & steps to beach. Chef’s kitchen with huge island, high-end appliances, breakfast bar, granite countertops. Maid’s and bath off kitchen. Family/media room has beamed ceilings, FP, projection screen & blackout curtains, wet bar, doors to deck, plus room for professional projection equipment & media storage. Two offices, side patio, single-car & two-car garage with half-bath. Six en-suite bedrooms upstairs, including two master suites, plus bonus room. One master has FP, sitting area, kitchenette, huge picture window, & lavish bath. Other master suite has coffered ceilings, & doors to a private ocean-view deck. Home has a basement with generator, generous storage, outdoor shower, & many areas for al fresco dining & entertaining.”

The listing comes as the much more famous Spelling home once known as Spelling Manor in Holmby Hills sold for roughly $120 million. Spelling sold that property back in 2011 for  $85 million to heiress Petra Ecclestone, but she says she doesn’t know who owns the mansion now:

“Everyone keeps asking me who bought the [Holmby Hills] house, and I say I have no idea.”

Spelling reportedly now lives in a condo in the Century City area.
