“Different Faces of the Baltic Sea”: a Series by Michal Olech

Michal Olech is a Warmia-born photographer who lives on the Baltic Sea coast. The sea is the main character of his works, for more than 10 years Mikhail has been watching and filming it. The sea is in different moods, and the photographer was able to capture these different states – both calmness and anger – in his photographs.

“I like getting out of bed before dawn, going to the sea, watching and taking pictures. And every time I am convinced that the Baltic Sea is beautiful! Depending on the season and the weather, it shows different faces: calm and quiet, angry and dynamic, romantic and noisy, cold as ice and hot as fire, ”says the photographer.
