Lori Andrews is a Calgary based photographer and creative generalist.
Graduating in 1992 with a BFA (drawing) from the U of C, she has focused on photography and design for the last 12 years.
As an early adopter, Lori has been sharing her work via social media since 2005, and believes the Internet plays an integral role in promoting and developing strong art communities.
The majority of Lori’s photographic work is self portrait photography, a format she uses as a device to convey an ongoing personal storyline, about place and time. Lori’s stylized, staged photo shoots, convey notions of alter-ego, voyeurism, feminism, and anonymity set amongst the digital age of personal transparency/identity fabrication.
‘My name is Lori Andrews and I am an insanely happy photographer living in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I am fuelled by bicycles, human stories, the great outdoors and creative exploration. 10 Cent Studio is my creative brand and place of work. I love collaboration and I am happy to take on the challenge of art directing for your project. I shoot portraits both serious and playful. My years of work as an interior designer means I have real experience with styling and interior photography.’
