Kanye West will be taking his choir to Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church this coming Sunday.
The artiste’s renewed Christian faith has seen him take to the gospel scene with much enthusiasm. And, according to TMZ, the Jesus is King star will have his Sunday Service at Osteen’s next holy session in Houston.
TMZ cites sources who claim that West and Osteen have become incredibly close as of late and speak regularly, with Kanye now a voice for God through his music. It’s reported that the controversial celebrity will have a conversation with Osteen on stage that should last 20-30 minutes.
The preacher’s congregation, which stands at 45,000 strong, will be treated to testimony from Kanye, who is said to be poised to detail the struggles he has overcome throughout his life and career; Osteen will also ask him to point out the differences in his life since he reaffirmed his devotion to God.
An update from TMZ claims that Kanye and his choir won’t be performing in the morning as the rapper will only be speaking to Joel. But there will be a performance during the evening service.
“It just got way better,” the update reads. “Our Kanye sources tell us Ye will bring his traveling choir to Houston and he and the choir will perform during Sunday’s nighttime service. So, Kanye will take the pulpit and talk to Joel in the morning, and perform in the evening.”
Meanwhile, Kanye seems to have serious plans to run for the US Presidential Elections in 2024 and has even revealed that he will change his name. His Sunday Services are pretty popular and he should build an even bigger following by the time 2024 rolls around.
