For over twenty-five years, Phil Borges has been photographing indigenous peoples and tribes. He tries to capture in his pictures the culture and problems faced by small nationalities.
The works of Phil Borges are exhibited in museums and galleries around the world. Among his books published in four languages, there is the Tibetan portrait photo series. Pictures taken at close range not only convey the inner world of captured people, but also say a lot about the world in which they live.
Borges also makes documentaries on indigenous culture for Discovery and National Geographic.
